2009 Fantasy Football Draft Kit
|
|
|
|
Rookies: Quarterbacks
|
| Matthew Stafford
- Lions - Stafford is the
most likely to start from day one out of all the rookie
quarterbacks. The next Matt Ryan? Not likely, but he has
the talent. |
| Mark Sanchez
- Jets - Like Stafford, Sanchez
will likely get the starting nod from day one. He has
a solid offense surrounding him and might put up decent
numbers as a rookie. |
| Josh Freeman
- Buccaneers - He will be
fighting with for the Bucs' starting job against Byron
Leftwich and has a very good chance to see starting time
by season's-end. |
| Pat White - Dolphins
- His perfect fit in the Dolphins "Wildcat" offense makes
him an interesting rookie, but Pennington has a lock on
the job as long as Parcells is running the show. |
|
Rookies: Wide Receivers
|
| Michael Crabtree
- 49ers - The receiver with the most talent went to the team with the most need. This makes Crabtree a legit fantasy hopeful. |
| Percy Harvin
- Vikings - If Brett Favre
signs with the Vikings and Harvin can grab the second
spot, he could put up decent fantasy numbers. |
| Darrius Heyward-Bey
- Raiders - The first
overall receiver taken was a surprise and it is impossible
to project his fantasy value except that he is likely
to be starting day one. |
| Kenny Britt
- Titans - The Titans are
in desperate need for a consistent big-play receiver,
but don't expect too much fantasy-wise with this Collins
lead passing game. |
| Hakeem Nicks
- Giants - There are plenty of young, solid receivers in New York, but Nicks could surprise. |
Juaquin Iglesias
- Bears - With Cutler throwing the Bears need some to catch passes. |
| Jeremy Maclin
- Eagles - The success of
DeSean Jackson last year should give hope to Maclin this
year. Watch the health of Kevin Curtis. |
| Brian Robiskie
- Browns - Stallworth will likely not be much in 2009 so the Browns took two receivers in the second round. |
| Mohamed Massaquoi
- Browns - See above. |
| Deon Butler
- Seahawks - He will fight
for a third slot, but could finish #2 if he progresses. |
|
Rookies: Running Backs
|
| Knowshon Moreno
- Broncos - He will be handed
the starting job and will make an immediate fantasy impact. |
| Chris Wells
- Cardinals - He should be
handed the starting job in front of Tim Hightower. The
question is can he stay healthy. |
| Shonn Greene
- Jets - With the aging Thomas
Jones as starter, Greene could see some time, but Leon
Washington will get more. |
| LeSean McCoy
- Eagles - Buckhalter is gone
and Westbrook is guaranteed to go down with injury at
some point. Lorenzo Booker will fight him for time though. |
| Donald Brown
- Colts - Drafted as insurance
for Joseph Addai, but he can also become part of a two-back-attack. |
| Glen Coffee
- 49ers - Frank Gore hasn't
exactly being the poster boy of health, so Coffee could
make a nice prospect if Gore goes down. |
|
Rookies: Tight Ends
|
| Brandon Pettigrew - Lions - He could be a solid fantasy starter from day one, especially with the rookie Stafford throwing in Detroit. |
